| The history of the band Tribe of Jah I initiate myself in the School of Blind people of the Maranhão where if the four blind musicians had known and a fifth musician with partial vision (only in an eye), place where they lived in regimen of boarding school, had started to develop the taste for music improvising instruments and discovering timbres and chords. Later they had started to carry through shows in the public dances of the capital (Sao luiz) and other cities of the interior of the state making covers of seresta, reggae and lambada. It was at this moment that appeared the broadcaster Fauzi Beydoun, born in São Paulo, son of Italians with Lebaneses, who already had mulberry four years in the Coast of Ivory (Africa), great aficionado by the culture reggae which was efervescente in Is Luis in years 80, and that an almost inexplicable phenomenon in Brazilian lands of the Maranhão became, invading initially the ghettos stop later taking all city, the interior of the state and until the neighboring states. Reggae would come to deeply mark already the so strong and original maranhense culture, contested for a minority of intellectual conservatives and hugged by the great mass, that through this musical style would originate the heading of "BRAZILIAN JAMAICA" to the capital of the Maranhão. Hundreds of clubs of reggae with its "radiolas" (powerful equipment of sound that if puted in charge to divulge the rhythm when still was not touched in the radios) and later diverse programs of radios that finally would come to  adhere the same in hearing search would wide justify the conquered heading.It was in this scene that the Tribe of Jah gave the departure to spread out its reggae roots until the bones, with its messages of love and peace, social politics and divine, which had moved away from the great recorders, the radios did not touch, the TV so little informed and the periodicals made seen thick. Of independent form the Tribe of Jah was making shows and divulging its records, today she counts on a recorder and a distribution the national level. Passed ten years of work with right to a scale in main palco of reggae world-wide (REGGAE SUNSPLASH FESTIVAL - JAMAICA 95), after to have if presented in the four cantos of the country (of Belém the Porto Alegre, passing for the Canecão and Metropolitam - River, Palace and Olimpia - São Paulo) and some international points (Buenos Aires - Argentina, Caiena - French Guyana, beyond shows in the Europe in paises as France and Italy) they very denote the special moment in the way that the Tribe of Jah comes in such a way treading for an inevitable recognition of its work in Brazil as in the exterior.
